Let's talk about the Burnout series of games, a series many fans of arcade racers are well familier with for it's high speed, over-the-top crashes, and complete disregard of the laws of physics in the best way possible. Well looks like the series is coming back via XBLA and PSN with Burnout CRASH! A top-down racer that follows the basic idea of the Crash Mode featured in previous Burnout titles.

The most interesting thing about this has to be the choice of presentation. If nothing else, the Burnout games have been all about spectacle. Metal Shards whizzing by as ravaged cars pierce tankers pressure filled with fire was iconic of the games is substituted with an array of pinball sounds and a visual style that'd be right at home on a mobile device like a phone or mobile tablet.
The game will support the Xbox Kinect controller, involving the predictable steering wheel hand motion to steer and a series of jumps to self-detonate your car and steer it to cause as much damage as you can.
Burnout Crash will be available on the XBLA and PSN this Fall.
